We spent some evenings wandering about the colonial British graves of Kasauli in the evening sun. No one visited them.

Darkness gradually overcame everything. It finally rested over our feet.

The late evening sunlight tangled with the dry grass at first.

Then it bathed and drenched further the sprouts and needles of the trees.

Then the memorial stones stood in the coolness of the shaded sunlight.

There was still some light in the sky. The overhanging trees loomed large.
